haemorrhage
의미: An escape of blood from a ruptured blood vessel, especially when profuse. It can be external (visible) or internal (concealed within the body).
Haemorrhage is classified by severity from Class I (mild, under 15% blood volume lost) to Class IV (immediately life-threatening, over 40% lost). The term is also used figuratively to describe a rapid, uncontrolled loss, as in 'a haemorrhage of talent.' In British English, the spelling 'haemorrhage' is standard, while American English uses 'hemorrhage.'
