anachronism
의미: Something that belongs to a different period of time, especially something conspicuously old-fashioned or out of place in the present; also, an error in chronology that places a person, event, or object in the wrong historical period.
Anachronism has two overlapping uses. In historical and literary criticism, it refers to a factual error — a clock striking in Shakespeare's Julius Caesar, for instance. In contemporary discourse, it describes institutions, practices, or attitudes that have outlived their relevance: 'the House of Lords is an anachronism.' The word always implies a mismatch between something and the era in which it exists. It collocates with 'historical anachronism,' 'glaring anachronism,' 'something of an anachronism,' and 'seeming anachronism.'
