adaptation
의미: The process of adjusting to new conditions, or a feature that has developed to help an organism survive in its environment.
In biology, adaptation describes evolutionary changes that improve a species' fitness in its environment. In climate policy, adaptation refers to adjusting systems and behaviours to cope with the effects of climate change, in contrast to mitigation which seeks to prevent it. The term is also commonly used for literary or artistic works reworked for a different medium, such as a film adaptation of a novel.
