同人
의미: Self-published fan works or indie creations — including manga, novels, music, and games made outside commercial publishing.
同人 literally means 'same person/like-minded people' and refers to the massive self-publishing culture in Japan. While many 同人 works are fan-made derivative content of existing anime and manga, the term also covers completely original indie works. The 同人 scene has launched many professional careers and is a cornerstone of Japanese creative culture.
