소개

간접 의문문은 간접 화법 중에서도 특히 까다로운 부분이에요. 왜냐하면 어순이 바뀌거든요. 직접 의문문이 간접 의문문이 되면 평서문 어순으로 돌아가야 해요.

Yes/No 의문문을 전달하는 방법(if/whether 사용)과 정보 의문문을 전달하는 방법(의문사는 그대로, 어순만 변경) 두 가지를 배울 거예요.

한국어에서는 "뭐라고 물었는지"처럼 비교적 간단하게 간접 의문문을 만들 수 있지만, 영어에서는 어순 변화가 핵심이에요. 대화 내용을 요약하거나 다른 사람이 뭘 물었는지 전달할 때 꼭 필요한 능력이에요.
