Shotgun a beer
의미: To puncture a hole in the side of a beer can and drink the entire thing rapidly.
Shotgunning is a party trick and college tradition. You poke a hole near the bottom of a beer can, put your mouth over the hole, then pop the tab — the beer rushes out and you chug the whole thing in seconds. It's a rite of passage at American parties, tailgates, and college events.

기원과 역사
American college and party culture from the 1980s. Named for the speed of the beer exiting the can, like a shotgun blast. The technique exploits physics — the puncture allows air in, so the beer flows out faster when the tab is opened.
