stanza
意味: A group of lines forming the basic recurring unit in a poem; a verse.
Stanzas are to poetry what paragraphs are to prose, dividing a poem into distinct sections. They may follow a fixed pattern of metre and rhyme (as in a sonnet's quatrains) or be irregular in form. Common stanza types include the couplet (two lines), tercet (three), quatrain (four), and sestet (six). The word 'verse' is sometimes used interchangeably with stanza, though technically verse can refer to a single line or to poetry in general.
