seminar
意味: A small-group discussion class at a university, typically involving the presentation and analysis of a topic by students; also, a training session or conference on a specific subject.
In British universities, seminars complement lectures by providing opportunities for in-depth discussion in smaller groups, usually led by a tutor. Students are often expected to prepare readings or presentations in advance. Outside academia, 'seminar' is used for professional training events, workshops, and conferences. The word is sometimes used loosely for any educational presentation, though purists insist on the element of group discussion.
