psychosomatic
意味: Relating to physical symptoms that are caused or aggravated by psychological factors such as stress, anxiety, or emotional conflict.
Psychosomatic conditions are real physical ailments with genuine symptoms, but their cause lies partly or wholly in the mind. Common examples include tension headaches, irritable bowel syndrome triggered by stress, and skin conditions worsened by anxiety. The term should not be used dismissively — psychosomatic symptoms cause real suffering and require proper treatment.
