proclivity
意味: A natural or habitual tendency or inclination towards a particular behaviour, often one that is undesirable or questionable.
Proclivity carries a slightly negative undertone, suggesting a leaning that may be difficult to resist or control. While it can describe neutral tendencies, it is most often used when the inclination is towards something risky, excessive, or morally questionable — a proclivity for gambling, for exaggeration, for violence. The word is followed by 'for,' 'towards,' or 'to' and appears frequently in psychology, criminology, and political analysis. It is more formal than 'tendency' and more judgmental than 'inclination.'
