permutation
意味: An arrangement of items in a specific order, or the act of changing the arrangement of a set of elements. In mathematics, it refers to the number of ways objects can be ordered.
In combinatorics, permutations differ from combinations in that order matters: ABC and BAC are different permutations but the same combination. Outside mathematics, the word is used more loosely to mean a variation or possible arrangement, as in 'every permutation of the team lineup.' It collocates with 'possible,' 'random,' and 'number of.'
