necrosis
意味: The premature death of cells or living tissue caused by external factors such as injury, infection, or loss of blood supply. Unlike apoptosis, it is uncontrolled and typically triggers inflammation.
Necrosis can result from trauma, toxins, ischaemia, or severe infection. The dead tissue often becomes a focus for secondary infection and may require surgical removal, a process called debridement. Types include coagulative, liquefactive, caseous, and gangrenous necrosis, each with distinct pathological features.
