median
意味: The middle value in a set of numbers arranged in order of size. If the set has an even number of values, the median is the average of the two central ones.
The median is one of the three principal measures of central tendency, alongside the mean and mode. It is particularly useful when data contains outliers or is skewed, as it is less affected by extreme values than the mean. In everyday usage it also refers to the central reservation of a dual carriageway. It collocates with 'income,' 'age,' 'value,' and 'household.'
