compulsive
意味: Resulting from or relating to an irresistible urge to behave in a certain way, especially against one's conscious wishes.
Compulsive behaviour is a hallmark of obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), where individuals feel driven to perform repetitive actions to alleviate anxiety. The word is also used more loosely to describe any habitual behaviour that is difficult to stop, such as compulsive spending or compulsive lying. It can also mean irresistibly engaging, as in compulsive viewing.
