arthroscopy
意味: A minimally invasive surgical procedure in which a small camera (arthroscope) is inserted into a joint through a tiny incision to diagnose and treat joint problems.
Arthroscopy is most commonly performed on the knee, shoulder, hip, ankle, and wrist. It allows surgeons to visualise, diagnose, and repair damage to cartilage, ligaments, and other joint structures without the need for large incisions. The procedure typically involves shorter recovery times than open joint surgery. It is a staple of orthopaedic and sports medicine and frequently collocates with 'knee,' 'shoulder,' 'diagnostic,' and 'operative.'
