Hat-trick
意味: Three goals scored by one player in a single match.
The hat-trick is one of football's great achievements—three goals by the same player in one game. The term has expanded far beyond football: three successes of any kind can be called a hat-trick. Traditionally, the match ball is given to a hat-trick scorer, signed by teammates.

ストーリーと豆知識
The cricket origin is disputed—some say H.H. Stephenson's feat at Sheffield in 1858 earned him a hat from the crowd, giving rise to the term. Whatever the exact origin, football made 'hat-trick' famous worldwide, and scorers often receive the match ball to keep.
