Reporting questions and commands

はじめに

間接疑問文って、間接話法の中でも特に厄介なポイントです。なぜかというと、語順が変わるから。直接疑問文が間接疑問文になると、普通の文の語順に戻るんです。

ここでは、Yes/No疑問文の報告（if/whetherを使う）と、情報疑問文の報告（疑問詞はそのまま、でも語順を変える）の両方を学びます。

日本語では「彼が何と言ったか」のように自然に間接疑問文を作れますが、英語では語順の切り替えがカギ。会話の内容をまとめたり、人の質問を伝えたりするのに欠かせないスキルです。
