Collocations for expressing feelings and emotional states
はじめに
英語の感情表現にも独自のコロケーションがあります。「bitterly disappointed(ひどくがっかりする)」であって「strongly disappointed」じゃない、「deeply grateful(心から感謝する)」であって「very grateful」じゃない(意味は通じるけど、コロケーションの方がずっと自然です)。こうした組み合わせが、ナチュラルな強調とニュアンスを加えてくれます。
