Going ballistic
意味: Reacting with extreme, explosive anger — completely losing your temper in a dramatic way.
'Going ballistic' describes an anger explosion of the highest magnitude. Like a ballistic missile, the person has launched and there's no stopping them. It's used for rage that's visible, loud, and often disproportionate. Parents 'go ballistic' about dented cars, bosses 'go ballistic' about missed deadlines.
