Dropping in
意味: Catching a wave that another surfer already has priority on — a serious breach of surf etiquette.
Dropping in (also 'snaking') means paddling into a wave when someone else is already riding it or has priority. It's the cardinal sin of surfing because it's dangerous and disrespectful. The surfer closest to the curl/peak has right of way. In a broader sense, 'dropping in' can mean showing up somewhere uninvited or interrupting.
