Some modals change in reported speech: can→could, will→would, may→might. Others don't change: could, would, should, might. 'She said she could help.' 'He said he would come.'

    休んだ方がいいです。' → 医者は休むべきだと言いました。
    쉬세요.' → 의사는 쉬어야 한다고 말했습니다.
  4. It may rain.' → She said it might rain.
    可能会下雨。' → 她说可能会下雨。
    Puede llover.' → Ella dijo que podría llover.
    雨が降るかもしれません。' → 彼女は雨が降るかもしれないと言いました。
    비가 올지도 몰라요.' → 그녀는 비가 올지도 모른다고 말했습니다.
