A slope is a surface of which one end is higher than another, or the degree of incline. Mountains, hills, and roofs have slopes. In mathematics, slope refers to the steepness of a line on a graph. 'Ski slopes' are snowy hills for skiing. 'Slippery slope' is an idiom describing a course of action that leads to worse outcomes.
