Origen e historia
From Old French 'pris' (price, value, reward), from Latin 'pretium' meaning 'reward, prize, value'. The same root gives us 'precious' (of great value), 'praise' (to declare the worth of), 'prize', and 'appreciate'. All share the core concept of assigning value.
