stabilise
Significado: To make or become steady, stable, or unlikely to change or fluctuate further.
Stabilise is used when something that has been changing or volatile reaches a point of equilibrium. It is common in medical contexts (a patient's condition stabilising), economic contexts (prices stabilising), and engineering (stabilising a structure). The word can be both transitive (measures to stabilise the economy) and intransitive (the situation has stabilised). Note the British spelling with -ise rather than the American -ize.
