realist
Significado: A person who accepts and deals with situations as they actually are, rather than as they might ideally be. In philosophy and art, someone who represents things faithfully without idealisation.
Realist functions as a self-compliment in British political culture — politicians routinely claim to be realists while accusing opponents of wishful thinking. In international relations, a realist favours power politics over moral considerations. In art and literature, realism is a specific movement depicting everyday life without romanticisation. The word carries an implicit contrast with 'idealist' or 'dreamer.'
