parsimonious
Significado: Extremely unwilling to spend money or use resources; excessively frugal or stingy.
Parsimonious is a formal, somewhat literary word for extreme thriftiness. In general usage, it carries a negative connotation of meanness. However, in science and philosophy, 'parsimony' is a positive principle (Occam's Razor): the simplest explanation should be preferred. A parsimonious model uses the fewest assumptions necessary. It collocates with 'approach,' 'model,' 'nature,' 'employer,' and 'attitude.'
