opus
Significado: A musical composition or set of compositions numbered as one of a composer's works; any major artistic work, especially a literary composition.
In music, opus numbers (abbreviated Op.) are used to catalogue a composer's works chronologically, as in 'Beethoven's Op. 27, No. 2.' The phrase 'magnum opus' (great work) refers to the most important or ambitious work in an artist's career. In broader usage, opus can refer to any significant creative achievement. The Latin plural 'opera' is used in music, while 'opuses' is standard in everyday English.
