executor
Significado: A person appointed by a testator to carry out the terms of their will after death.
Executor (pronounced ig-ZEK-yuh-ter in this legal sense) is a specific legal role. The executor is named in the will and is responsible for gathering assets, paying debts, and distributing the estate to beneficiaries. In England and Wales, the executor applies for 'probate' — the legal right to deal with the deceased's affairs. The female form 'executrix' is now largely obsolete. If no executor is named, the court appoints an 'administrator' instead.
