demobilise
Significado: To release troops from military service after a war or period of active duty, or more broadly to disband or stand down an organised force or campaign.
Demobilise is the opposite of mobilise and is most closely associated with the aftermath of the two world wars, when millions of servicemen and women were 'demobbed' (the informal abbreviation is distinctively British). In modern usage, it extends to any organised effort being wound down — 'demobilise the emergency response.' The abbreviation 'demob' became part of British cultural vocabulary: 'demob suit' referred to the civilian clothes issued to returning soldiers.
