decentralise
Significado: To transfer authority, decision-making, or functions from a central body to regional or local authorities. To distribute power or operations away from a single concentrated point.
Decentralise is a key term in governance, public administration, and organisational theory. In British politics, the devolution of powers to Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland is the most prominent example of decentralisation. The word implies distributing control more widely, which can be framed either positively (empowering local communities) or negatively (fragmenting coherent policy). In technology, decentralised networks and blockchain have given the word new currency.
