concede
Significado: To admit that something is true or valid after first resisting or denying it. Also, to surrender or give up a right, possession, or advantage.
In argument and debate, conceding a point shows intellectual honesty — acknowledging the strength of an opposing argument before presenting your own. In politics, to 'concede defeat' means to formally acknowledge losing an election. In sport, 'concede a goal' or 'concede a penalty' describes allowing the opposition to score or gain an advantage. The noun 'concession' has multiple uses: a concession in an argument, a concession speech, or a retail concession (a shop within a shop).
