collinear
Significado: Lying on the same straight line, used to describe points, vectors, or objects that share a common axis or line of direction.
In geometry, three or more points are collinear if a single straight line passes through all of them. In physics, collinear forces act along the same line. In optics, collinear beams travel along the same path. The concept is tested in coordinate geometry at A-level and features in university-level linear algebra and physics. Outside mathematics and science, the word is uncommon, though it occasionally appears in architectural and engineering descriptions.
