clickbait
Significado: Online content, especially headlines, designed to attract attention and encourage users to click through to a webpage, often using sensational, misleading, or vague language.
Clickbait is widely criticised for prioritising traffic over accuracy, and the term is almost always used pejoratively. Typical clickbait tactics include curiosity gaps ('You won't believe what happened next'), listicles ('10 things you didn't know about...'), and emotional manipulation. While clickbait is associated with low-quality content mills, even mainstream media outlets have been accused of using clickbait techniques to compete for online attention.
