brevity
Significado: Concise and exact use of words in writing or speech; also, the quality of being short in duration.
Brevity is prized in professional communication, legal drafting, and journalism. The famous maxim 'brevity is the soul of wit' (from Shakespeare's Hamlet) captures the idea that conciseness enhances both clarity and humour. In everyday usage, brevity can also refer to the shortness of time — the brevity of a meeting or a life. It collocates with 'for the sake of,' 'wit,' 'clarity,' and 'admirable.' It is the opposite of verbosity or prolixity.
