bot
Significado: An automated software programme that performs tasks on the internet, such as posting on social media, responding to queries, or scraping data, often designed to mimic human behaviour.
Bots range from benign (chatbots providing customer service, search engine crawlers) to malicious (spam bots, social media manipulation networks). In political discourse, 'bot' is often used to describe fake social media accounts that amplify particular viewpoints or spread disinformation. The term has entered everyday language — accusing someone of being 'a bot' online means their responses seem automated or inauthentic.
