baroque
Significado: Relating to the highly ornate and extravagant style of European art, architecture, and music from the late 16th to early 18th century; more broadly, excessively elaborate or complex.
The Baroque period produced dramatic, richly decorated art and architecture, exemplified by the works of Caravaggio, Bernini, and Bach. In everyday English, 'baroque' (lower case) is used as an adjective to describe anything excessively ornate or complicated, often with a hint of criticism — for example, 'baroque bureaucratic procedures.' It contrasts with the restraint of the classical and neoclassical styles.
