auxiliary
Significado: A verb used alongside a main verb to form tenses, moods, voices, or questions, such as 'have' in 'I have finished' or 'do' in 'Do you agree?'
English relies heavily on auxiliary verbs to express grammatical distinctions that other languages achieve through inflection. The primary auxiliaries are 'be,' 'have,' and 'do,' whilst modal auxiliaries include 'can,' 'could,' 'will,' 'would,' 'shall,' 'should,' 'may,' 'might,' and 'must.' Outside grammar, 'auxiliary' means providing supplementary or additional help.
