apprentice
Significado: A person who is learning a trade or skill from an experienced practitioner, typically through a combination of on-the-job training and formal study.
Apprenticeships have a long history in Britain, dating back to the medieval guild system. Modern apprenticeships combine workplace training with study towards a recognised qualification, and are available in fields ranging from plumbing and electrical work to digital marketing and accountancy. The government has promoted apprenticeships as an alternative to university education. 'The Apprentice' is also a well-known television programme in which contestants compete for a business opportunity.
