accelerate
Significado: To increase in speed, rate, or pace; to cause something to happen sooner or more quickly.
While commonly associated with vehicles and physical speed, accelerate is widely used figuratively to describe the quickening of processes, trends, or changes. In business, it collocates with 'growth,' 'pace,' 'change,' and 'progress.' It can be both transitive (the government accelerated the programme) and intransitive (inflation accelerated). The nominal form 'acceleration' is equally common in academic and professional writing.
