Perfect tenses, used to, and would for past habits
Introducción
En el nivel intermedio, dominarás los tiempos que conectan pasado y presente, y aprenderás formas elegantes de describir hábitos pasados. El presente perfecto (present perfect) es uno de los tiempos más importantes — y más mal utilizados — del inglés.
También descubrirás la sutil diferencia entre "used to" y "would" para hábitos pasados, y entenderás por qué los hablantes nativos eligen uno u otro en distintos contextos.
El presente perfecto es especialmente confuso para hispanohablantes porque el pretérito perfecto español ("he comido") funciona de manera diferente al inglés. Dominar estos tiempos añade matiz y sofisticación a tu manera de hablar.
