Academic collocations for essays, research, and scholarly discussion
Introducción
La escritura académica exige colocaciones precisas. En un texto formal, dices "conduct research" (realizar investigación), no "do research"; "draw a conclusion" (extraer una conclusión), no "make a conclusion". Estas combinaciones son los cimientos de la comunicación académica.
En español también elegimos cuidadosamente: "realizar un estudio", "formular una hipótesis", "llegar a una conclusión". El inglés académico funciona igual — usar el verbo correcto marca la diferencia entre sonar como estudiante y sonar como investigador.
