Tailgate (college)
Significado: A pre-game party in the parking lot before a college football game, featuring grills, drinks, and school spirit.
College football tailgating is America at its most exuberant. Fans arrive hours (sometimes days) before kickoff to set up elaborate spreads in the parking lot: smokers, TVs, team flags, cornhole boards, and enough food to feed an army. 'The tailgate is better than the game' is said without irony at many schools. SEC tailgates are legendary — chandeliers in tents, full bars, and three-course meals. Tailgating is where alumni, students, and fans bond over team pride and shared food.
