Open bar
Significado: A bar at an event where all drinks are free, usually paid for by the host.
An open bar is the holy grail of American events. When an invitation says 'open bar,' attendance triples. The host pays a flat fee or tab, and guests drink for free. Open bars are common at weddings, corporate events, and fundraisers. The opposite is a 'cash bar' where guests pay for their own drinks.
