On the clock
Significado: Currently working or during paid work hours; also means under time pressure.
Being 'on the clock' means you're officially at work and getting paid. It also means you're under a time limit. Both meanings are common in American English. The opposite is 'off the clock' — not working or not counting time. Workers are careful about what they do 'on the clock' since it represents company time.
