Off campus
Significado: Living in private housing outside of university-owned dormitories.
Moving off campus is a major milestone — usually junior or senior year. It means renting an apartment or house near campus, cooking your own food, paying rent, and experiencing adult responsibilities. 'I moved off campus' signals independence from the university housing system. Off-campus housing is often cheaper than dorms (but not always). It comes with freedom (no RA, no quiet hours, no dining plan) and responsibility (lease, utilities, groceries). The off-campus house party is a college institution.
