Cut corners
Significado: To do something in the cheapest or easiest way, often sacrificing quality or safety.
Cutting corners means taking shortcuts that save time or money but compromise the result. It's usually negative — a contractor who cuts corners builds a shoddy house, a student who cuts corners writes a bad paper. But sometimes it's pragmatic — when time is short, you cut corners where it matters least.
