To 'clown' someone is to disrespect or make them look foolish. It can also describe someone acting goofy or not taking things seriously.

Origen e historia
Originated in AAVE, extending the image of a clown (someone who's laughed at) to the act of making someone a joke. The term has been used in Black communities since at least the 1980s and became more widely known through hip-hop and comedy.
