Meaning: A humorous observation that a situation got intense or out of hand very fast.
Used when something goes from normal to extreme in a short time — a casual conversation turning into a heated argument, a simple outing becoming a wild adventure, or a minor problem snowballing. It's always said with amusement or disbelief at how fast things changed.
