Jug handle
Meaning: A special ramp or loop road in New Jersey used to make left turns from a right-side exit.
Jug handles are a uniquely New Jersey traffic feature — instead of making a left turn at an intersection, you exit to the right onto a curved ramp that loops you around to cross the main road. They're designed to keep traffic flowing on major highways but confuse every non-New Jerseyan who encounters them. 'You can't turn left in Jersey' is a running joke.
