Fixins
Meaning: Side dishes served with a main course; all the accompaniments to a meal.
Fixins (or fixings) refers to all the side dishes and condiments that accompany a main dish. A Southern Thanksgiving turkey comes 'with all the fixins' — cornbread dressing, collard greens, mac and cheese, sweet potatoes, green beans. The word captures the abundance of a proper Southern spread.
